After the Second World War, Britain’s position knew a significant change; a time which coincided with a turning point in Britain’s colonial and foreign policies which particularly agreed upon the importance of British Cultural enterprise overseas. Thus, the British Council was encouraged to expand its work in order to improve Britain’s damaged image and further British influence.Downloads
