German Stories in Iranian Children's Literature

The children's literature in Iran is about one century that has begun its activity. At present, children's literature is taught in masters degrees at renowned universities in Iran. In the early years, the translation of English and French books played a greater role in the reproduction of children's literature in Iran. Over time, writers have focused on child literature and the book publishing level for children grew. In the meantime, many children's books have been translated from German to Persian. In this article we have tried to introduce the works translated in Iran for children from German. Since 1990, many fiction books have been translated from German to Persian, and children have enjoyed reading it. The reason for choosing these books for translation is discussed in this article.Downloads
