The presented paper is focuses on the issue of self-care as a possible predictor of risky behavior in the target population of of adolescents. The first part of the paper is focused on the theoretical basis of risky behavior and then on the basis of self-care. Within risk behavior, the paper discusses the charakteristics of this concept, the factors influencing the risk behavior of adolescents and also the basic forms of risk behavior in the target group. Within self-care, the paper focuses on defining the basis characteristics of the concept and subsequently on the self-care factors proposed for adolescents and on the self-care as a preventive factor. The second part of the paper focuses on the results of research in the researched issues. The research is focused on demonstrating the differences and relationships between the examined variables.Downloads
