Since 2026, Brussels College has served as an International Program Center of Northwood University (Midland, Michigan, USA), one of Northwood's International Program Centers in the European Union — delivering Northwood-awarded, HLC-accredited Bachelor's and MBA programs on our Brussels campus under the Northwood University - Brussels name.

Northwood University - Brussels: Brussels College serves as an International Program Center of Northwood University (Midland, Michigan, USA), accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC, recognized by the U.S. Department of Education), with business programs accredited by ACBSP where applicable. This status is effective as of August 2026, making Brussels College Northwood's newest International Program Center.
Northwood University's International Program Centers also include partner institutions in Ras Al Khaimah (UAE), Rouen (France), Colombo (Sri Lanka), and Montreux (Switzerland).

Recognition and Legal Framework
Legal Status: BC operates under Belgian law as a "Private Higher Education Institution" in Flanders, under Article II.75, §5 of the Higher Education Law ("Codex Hoger Onderwijs," 2013) — the standard legal basis for private higher-education providers in Flanders. This is a baseline operating status, not a quality accreditation, and it exists alongside — not instead of — the U.S. accreditation Brussels College now also carries as an International Program Center of Northwood University (see left).
Looking Ahead: As long-term goals, and alongside our Northwood affiliation, Brussels College intends to pursue its own accreditation within the Flemish (NVAO) quality-assurance framework. This is a future ambition, not a current credential — we'll share any progress here as it happens.
